My top 10 sick essentials
So here’s what I grabbed for:
Everything underlined is linked for you to find easily. I want to share that some links are products or brands that I know, trust, and am affiliated with, others are simply products I use, or businesses I support and want to spread the word about. By purchasing through my affiliate links you are saying thank you and showing me the support I need to continue giving you the best hair and all natural beauty tips!
Hui Hui Essentials Day Formula- A Growth Stimulant, it’s an all-natural, effective and purifying scalp treatment specifically formulated to address issues related to dry, tight itchy scalp and hair loss while soothing the mind and calming the soul. It has 100% natural ingredients. This formula has an outstanding amount of peppermint that is cooling and invigorating. A couple times I put a form fitting gel cap (Amazon) on my head at the same time as the oil and it was sooo ICY!! The cap can cover your eyes so it was helping with my headache and made me focus on my breathing.
Hui Hui Enchantress- This is essentially a four sided Gua Sha Comb which is made from Bian Stone. This helps with stress release and lymphatic drainage. Hit your pressure points and use some Hui Hui Essentials to give your self nutrients while gliding the stone on your skin.
When it was shower time,
I grabbed for my favorite product that Carisa, owner of Ursula Naturals, makes- Shower Babies! Which you can find in local shops or online in her Etsy shop HERE . The warm water steams and releases all the aromatherapeutic benefits of these lil pods. I used Loosen Up which has peppermint, eucalyptus, and menthol. It was so nice because the aroma is not over powering yet really did help with congestion.
Carisa also has a new specialty item that I picked up ather market last month. It’s a steamer tea bag called Open Up, filled with Pink Himalayan Salt, citrus peel, eucalyptus, and essential oils. You put the tea bag in a bowl in hot water, then place a towel over your head and breathe in the steam. That was so nice between shower time.
While resting on the couch,
I had my Boar Bristle Brush with me. This is my all time favorite tool for many reasons but I have to mention a few here because I honestly am so glad I have this brush. First of all, my daughter had bed head randomly throughout the day and there were moments I was too tired or weak to put brushing her hair at the top of the list, once it was time to brush the knots out, she sat so still for minutes just letting me brush without throwing a fit. I personally used this to help me get through anxious moments where you feel like you’re so far behind on everything yet you can’t bring yourself to accomplish much of anything. I would be snuggled up on the couch watching t.v. brushing my hair. It is stimulating, exfoliating, and helps pull your natural oils from your scalp down the hair strand helping push the limits between washes.
Fluids are so important, (they’re an essential all on their own) so I was sipping on lots of water, organic chamomile tea with local honey, bone/ mineral broth, and having some Pedialyte popsicles.
I found myself grabbing for a couple other natural products from other local business owners, that was Natural Refinery’s lip balm and Bee Natural by Kat’s lotion bar after washing my hands a trillion times a day I needed so much hydration for my face and hands.
I have to mention that any of these items would make a thoughtful gift for yourself or to anyone especially if they are not feeling well. If I could put all of these items in a cute basket for someone I 1000% would!
