3 reasons an All Natural Haircut may be for YOU!
To some people, a haircut is a haircut. There’s a place for that. But… there’s also some amazing hair inspo out there! Check out my Pinterest board if you need some future hair inspiration!! That’s where the All Natural Haircut comes in. Even better, on-location. An All Natural Haircut is a haircut, yes, but it’s my way of describing the energy you are fueled with after having a haircut. The fact that we have so much power for change with few supplies and no chemicals needed. It’s the way I like creating for the individual, the way I like my own hair to be cut, and the texture that we are looking to embrace or enhance.
A little back story… Haircutting was not really a huge focus for me behind the chair until about 2015. The dramatic changes, chopping the length, or creating a new shape was always the most exciting thing about haircutting to me. After being trained by an amazing Razor Specialist, I had been introduced to a whole new world of “doing hair”. The next part of cutting that has stolen my heart is natural texture! Gimme all the framing, bangs, shags, pixies, afros, and anything related! This has now lead me down the path of wanting to do hair for those who want to learn to enhance and embrace their natural texture, no matter the pattern.
An All Natural Haircut as a Destination Experience may be for YOU if:
You want cool or unique hair that enhances your personality while embracing your natural texture. (Mabey you’re inspired by Vintage, Bohemian, or French vibes, like me?!) You want to have hair with long lasting shape, that grows out softly looking beautiful during it’s phases. You may only need a couple haircuts a year!
You want to learn how to have lower maintenance hair, lived-in hair, hand-style or naturally set the hair so it can air dry beautifully! All while styling your hair with low/non-toxic, ethically sourced hair products. Maybe even learn to cut your own bangs or face framing bits? How empowering is that?!
You find value in convenience and self care services but don’t always have the time or energy it takes to get to the salon. Do you work from home or simply enjoy the comfort and convenience of not having to leave? Do you travel often and find it difficult to make time to go to the salon or don’t know where to go? Or do you feel like you want to have a relaxing experience but by the time you get ready, drive to the salon, try to get settled, then your anxiety is being exacerbated because of obligatory conversations induced from social norms, and POOF-before you know it the experience is now a service(maybe of sensory overload) that has ended and you barely got to enjoy it…
Did any of these reasons resonate with you? Can you relate to 1 or more? All of them? Well you’re not alone in that!
I know many people(including myself) who are looking for not only haircuts and styles like this but that have always wanted to have their very own personal stylist! Have you ever thought, “I wish I could bring my stylist home with me!”? Here’s an option for you now. I travel from Channahon to Chicago to get my own hair done and I’ve had multiple clients over the years travelling, practically making an all day affair to get theirs done with me. The things we do for good hair, riiight?!!
Literally, all you need is to be able to easily dedicate a small area on-location; to be relaxed, separate, or peaceful so you can fully relax alone (with the exception of some group offerings) and get the most out of your experience. If you have a sink and faucet, even better! I have a portable basin to give a relaxing scalp treatment and wash your hair. But in the case that you don’t have access to that, I can cut clean dry hair or wet the hair and still style your hair just as well.
I invite you to check out my Haircutting Offerings and Instagram page, if you haven’t already. There you can find content to give you a better visual of the whole experience.
